That seems so cruel to make you walk without a frame as a test before you could go home !! Madness! We send people home all the time in my profession as a social worker with a frame , no such test !! I don’t blame you though wanting to get out of hospital! What a total nightmare !
It made no sense at all, especially when they then forced that rollator on me. What's even more nuts is that my back operation - where the discharge process was so thorough and well planned - was a different department of the very same hospital!
I know - it's bonkers and contradicted everything we'd discussed with the doctors. I'd love to know who that doctor was and how he thought it was reasonable to send me home when I was still that ridiculously weak. And you can probably guess - did I do 'nothing' when I got home as I'd been told? Nope...
