It’s so worrying that we have to rely on the drs diagnosing you with the correct illness! And timing is obviously vital ! Thank god you are ok and came through this horrific harrowing illness Jacqui.
It’s such a difficult disease to diagnose when the symptoms are so commonly seen with other illnesses. Things like meningitis are potentially easier as I think most people know things like the rash, stiff neck, and light sensitivity that affect a significant proportion of patients. My having no risk factors to help guide them didn't help either. But I hope by sharing that other people will think ‘could it be’ in the future.
